How to troubleshoot a broken or not working Opera integration

If your Opera integration has been previously setup and guests are no longer automatically checking into Ivy, please complete the following steps to reactivate the integration:

First, try reactivating the existing report previously setup:

  1. Open Opera PMS
  2. Select ‘Miscellaneous’
  3. Select ‘Report Scheduler’
  4. Select the report titled “gomoment_<hotel ID>_Hotel_Name”
  5. Select ‘Run Now’
  6. Allow for up to 15 minutes before seeing guests checked back into the Ivy Staff Console

If guests are still not being checked back into Ivy, it is likely that the Send From email credentials have been modified.

It is best to reschedule the report being sent to Go Moment after verifying that the Send From email matches the email the report scheduler is using:

Verify there is a delivery method email:

  1. Open ‘Configuration’ >> ‘Property’ >> ‘Delivery Methods’ >> ‘General’
  2. Ensure ‘Activate Email Delivery’ is checked
  3. Only fields needed: ‘From Email Address’ and ‘Server Name’ (server name = email server IP address)

Reschedule the report with the same Send From email:

  1. Open Opera PMS
  2. Select ‘Miscellaneous’
  3. Select ‘Report Scheduler’
  4. Select ‘New’ and search for “gomoment_<hotel ID>_Hotel_Name”
  5. Select ‘In-House Guest List’ (no ‘ _reservations” at the end!)
  6. Check ‘email/fax’
  7. Select ‘Delimited’ as the file type
  8. Set ‘Delimiter’ to “Tab’ (this should auto populate when selected delimited as the file type, but change if necessary)
  9. Select ‘Ok’ and the scheduler will now appear
  10. Select ‘Minutes’ (Select ‘Hours’ is minutes is not an option)
  11. Enter ‘30’ to adjust schedule to be sent every 30 minutes (Enter ‘1’ if using hours option)
  12. A destination dialogue will appear - Go Moment staff will provide the appropriate email address to enter in the ‘Send To’ field, if it has not already, please reach out to your Account Rep or start a live chat!
  13. Select “Ok”
  14. Select ‘File’ to save the report
  15. Select ‘Close’ and close the window to exit
